Now it’s made its way to an online auction. (AP) show_baynote_guide(“ArticleGuide”); WEST HLLYWD Calif. — A Sarah Palin supporter has suffered buyer’s remorse after winning an eBay auction for an effigy that was hung by a noose from a West Hollywood home. Chad Morrisette a professional window dresser who created the Palin look-alike says it went for more than $2200 on Thursday but the buyer has changed his mind. Morrisette says the winner thought he was buying a pro-Palin item and didn’t realize the truth until he heard about the auction on talk radio. The mannequin of the Republican vice presidential candidate made headlines after Morrisette hung it from the roof as part of a Halloween display last ctober. Morrisette and his partner had vowed to keep it outside their home until Halloween despite widespread criticism from neighbors and local officials.

State board takes action toward Ringgold auto auction

The board issued the Tennessee-Georgia Auto Auction in Ringgold a cease and desist order saying the auction did not have proper licensure. According to its Web site the board appointed by the Governor determines the qualifications of licensure. “It is unlawful for any person to operate as a used motor vehicle dealer or used motor vehicle parts dealer without first registering and obtaining a license” the site reads. “If a licensee is found to have violated the law or Board rules the Division has the power to impose fines and penalty fees and to revoke or suspend a license for a specified time. The Used Motor Vehicle Division issues a used motor vehicle dealers license which includes motor vehicle brokers independent motor vehicle leasing agencies which sell or offer to sell used motor vehicles used motor vehicle auction companies and pawnbrokers who sell motor vehicles to the public.
