More than 8300 lots were sold from Ritchie’s newly expanded 200-acre auction site. The event’s gross auction proceeds totaled $184 million Ritchie (NYSE and TSX: RBA) said in a release. About 83 percent of the items was sold to buyers from outside Florida and about 34 percent was sold to buyers outside the United States. More than 7600 bidders from 75 countries registered for the event both in-person and online the release said.

Fifty of the 120 acres on the site are undeveloped which the company will “facilitate for future expansion” it said in a statement Tuesday. f the attractions located on the 70 developed acres are a 30653-square-foot auction building that houses a 561-seat theater and a 27291-square-foot building dedicated to refurbishing equipment. The grand opening auction in March will be one of Ritchie’s four auctions held annually in Minnesota. The company holds 340 unreserved auctions annually in 38 national and international locations.
